How I found these
- I searched r/WIX, r/WixHelp and all of Reddit for Wix posts from the past year about refunds, charges, renewal, auto-renew, cancelling, billing, chargebacks, disputes and scams. That returned 1,149 posts.
- I kept posts in which the person describes a billing problem with their own Wix account: 69. I left out questions, tips and how-to posts, phishing warnings, complaints about other companies, and duplicates.
- Then I pulled all 1,197 replies in those threads, picked out the 361 written in the first person about money, plans, renewals or cancelling, and read each one. I counted the 150 in which the writer describes their own billing problem with Wix. Someone who wrote several times, or in several threads, is counted once. A reply that tells its story without those words could be missed, so the count is a floor, not a ceiling.
- This is not every complaint. Reddit search misses some posts, and most people never post at all.
- These are people's own accounts. I haven't checked them, and Wix hasn't answered them here.
If this happened to you, tell me what happened. My own story is here, and the facts page has the BBB and Trustpilot numbers.
